English annotation by Vishnudut1926: Very simple book based mainly on Puranik stories. The books of this kind are very useful for the beginners and for those ones who just start to get curious about Hinduism (and Vaishnavism especially).
I have read in 10 minutes in speedread mode. The Chapter about kinds of Vishnu Murtis (pp. 50-55) is very interesting.
ERROR IN THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE AVATARAS.
The classification of the Avataras in the book has an error, calling Krishna "Complete Avatara" ("Purna-Avatara") on page 11, but Krishna is just an "Amsha-Avatara" of Lord Shree Narayana (Vishnu) both according to "Shree Vishnu-Purana" and "Shreemad-Bhagavatam".
5th Amsha of "Shree Vishnu-Purana" (this Amsha is dedicated to Krishna-Avatara) starts from Amsha-Siddhanta. The same in "Shreemad-Bhagavatam" - this Purana is imbued with Pramanas telling about Krishna as just an Amsha-Avatara of Bhagavan Shree Narayana (Vishnu).
As for the 5th Amsha of "Shree Vishnu-Purana", the Praman about Krishna being an Amsha-Avatara is being repeated 2 times in the very beginning in order to give the erring people of Kali-Yuga the right Siddhanta about ONLY Bhagavan Shree Narayana (MahaVishnu) being the Purna-Avatara (Adi-Avatara or the Origin of all existing Vishnu-Avataras and Vishnu-Tattvas):
The same case with the 2nd Chapter of 5th Amsha of "Shree Vishnu-Purana". Famous Praman "Vishnor-Amsho" (Krishna and BalaRama are just Amsha-Avataras of Narayana/Vishnu) is being repeated in the Verse 5.2.4:
The same in "Shreemad-Bhagavatam" (10.1.2). 10th Canto is dedicated to Krishna-Avatara so the Verse 10.1.2 instantly establishes "Krishna is just an Amsha-Avatara of Bhagavan Shree Vishnu"-Siddhanta:
यदोश् च धर्म-शीलस्य नितरां मुनि-सत्तम
तत्रांशेनावतीर्णस्य विष्णोर् वीर्याणि शंस नः
yadosh cha dharma-shIlasya nitarAM muni-sattama
tatrAMshenAvatIrNasya viShNor vIryANi shaMsa naH
Translation (by Vishnudut1926): "Now please describe to me the wonderful deeds of Krishna and Balarama who were just 2 Amsha-Avataras of Bhagavan Shree Vishnu".
Nuff said! Proved (that Krishna is just an Amsha-Avatara of Bhagavan Shree Narayana!)
