#"SynWrite"# is my favourite text editor, especially for post-OCR processing, but it has a rather tricky system of hotkeys assigning via "F1" and "F9" keys.
For example, I would to like to assign "Join lines" (eliminates breaks in text) to "Shift+Ctrl+U".
"Join lines" can be found in
"Edit - line operations" menu, but no hotkey assigned at default. The following example uses the excerpt from "Shree Varaha-Purana" (meeting of Shreemati Bhumi-Devi and Bhagavan Shree Varaha). I have made OCR, but the lines got disrupted during OCR, so "join lines" function is needed.

So in order to assign you should press "F1" at first, this menu will appear:
Then just type "join" in search menu. After "join lines" had been found, you should press F9 on it and assign hotkey, after assigning you will get this menu:
After this just press "ESC" in order to conceal hotkeys menu and get back to Synwrite text editing.
If your text gets beyond window during editing, don't forget to press Ctrl+U (text wrap) or just go to "View - Toggle word wrap".
After this you can make construction like on the below screen in order to make final editing and etc:
