Shree Hamsa-Vidya, Aishwarya of Bhagavan Shree Krishna, balabuddhi

Back to selected Verses of "Shree Bhagavata-Purana", Song 11, now Chapter 04.

Verse 11.4.2 - Numerous Gunas of Bhagavan Shree Krishna

Very classic Pramana about the impossibility to count Numerous Gunas of Bhagavan Shree Krishna! This Pramana is repeated in all The Puranas.

The "balabuddhi" phrase ("infantile mind") is
rather catchy and funny to remember:

श्रीद्रुमिल उवाच यो वा अनन्तस्य गुनाननन्ताननुक्रमिष्यन्स तु बालबुद्धिः
रजांसि भूमेर्गणयेत्कथञ्चित्कालेन नैवाखिलशक्तिधाम्नः

shrIdrumila uvAcha yo vA anantasya gunAnanantAnanukramiShyansa tu bAlabuddhiH
rajAMsi bhUmergaNayetkatha~nchitkAlena naivAkhilashaktidhAmnaH

Translation: "He is a person of childish (immature, infantile) understanding who seeks to count the innumerable excellences and attributes of the Infinite Lord. It may be possible for him in the course of a long period of time and with extreme difficulty, to count the particles of dust on the earth, but never the excellences of Almighty Lord - The Resort of all Shaktis".

Verse 11.4.17 - Shree Hamsa-Avatara and Jnana-Yoga

One of my favourite Verses about Shree Hamsa-Avatara! Unfortunately, the Worship of Shree Hamsa-Avatara is very rare in this Kali-Yuga, but I must admit, that Shree Hamsa-Bhagavan is One of my favourite Avataras of Bhagavan Shree Krishna (Bhagavan Shree Narayana).

Still as Vaishnavas, studying "Shreemad Bhagavatam" we are initiated in Shree Hamsa-Vidya, that is very exquisite Jnana-Vidya!
And please relish the beginning of the Verse, more than beautiful - हंसस्वरूप्यवददच्युत आत्मयोगं haMsasvarUpyavadadachyuta AtmayogaM

हंसस्वरूप्यवददच्युत आत्मयोगं दत्तः कुमार ऋषभो भगवान्पिता नः

viShNuH shivAya jagatAM kalayAvatirNas tenAhRRitA madhubhidA shrutayo hayAsye

Translation: "It is for the good of the world that Bhagavan Shree Vishnu incarnated with a Ray (Part) of His Own, in The Form of a Swan (Shree Hamsa-Avatara, to expound Jnana-Yoga) to god Brahma when questioned by his sons), as Datta (the son of Atri) as the ever celibate Sanat-Kumara, as our father Rishabha-Dev.

Taking The Form of Shree Hayagriva, He killed the demon Madhu and recovered the Vedas".
