"Shree VenkatEsha-Suprabhatam", Mantra 24:
मीनाकृते कमठ कोल नृसिंह वर्णिन् स्वामिन् परश्वथतपोधन रामचन्द्र ।
शेषांशराम यदुनन्दन कल्किरुप श्रीवेङ्कटाचलपते तव सुप्रभातम् । । २४ । ।
mInAkRRite kamaTha kola nRRisiMha varNin svAmin parashvathatapodhana rAmachandra |
sheShAMsharAma yadunandana kalkirupa shrIve~NkaTAchalapate tava suprabhAtam | | 24 | |
Translation: "O Lord who had taken the several Avataric Forms like the Fish (Matsya or Meena), Tortoise (Kurma or Kamata), Wild Boar (Varaha or Kola), Man-Lion (NaraSimha), Dwarf (Vamana or Varrin), Parasurama (the one with parasu or axe), Sri Ramachandra, Balarama (the aspect of AdiShesha), Krishna (the delighter of Yadava community) and Kalki! O Lord of sacred Venkatachala Hills! Please get up from Your slumber".
Gloss: "This slokam, as it is quite clear, describes the Dasavataram aspect of Lord Shree VenkatEsha.
Just as in times of yore, He has condescended to come down on earth in several forms and shapes to rid the world from evil and to restore the good, so too He has now come in this Kali age - before Kalki comes in - as Shree VenkatEsha (BalaJi) to give succour to His devotees, who seek His protection and to a certain extent, easen the task of Kalki - the Destroyer of all sufferings of this Kali age".
