ENHANCED SCAN: "Music of Madhva Monks of Karnataka" #by Dr. R. SathyaNarayana# [Bangalore, 1988]

DOWNLOAD (English, 6MB):

English annotation by Vishnudut1926: I have found this edition on archive.org a couple of days ago, but it was in quite a topsy-turvy state with very lofi scan quality [#see the archive.org lofi scan here].

So, I have made some enhancements via ScanTailor and NAPS2 as usually: corrected lopsided paragraphs, too long margins and converted all pages into black-and-white tiff-format.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to ameliorate the original lofi scan considerably, but my version is in more shipshape state and much more readable than the above-mentioned version from archive.org.
As for the content, the book is designated mainly for the musicians and the connoisseurs of Indian aesthetics, though a reader interested in Bhakti concepts and especially Haridasa movement can find some chapters very informative. For example, I got impressed by the chapter about "Shree Bhramara-Gita" in the context of Shree Vadiraja Tirtha's oeuvre (page 132 and further).
