"The Sanskrit Tradition and Tantrism" edited by Teun Goudriaan - 1990

DOWNLOAD (English, 8MB):

English annotation by Vishnudut1926: I am adding this book just for the collection and you will lose nothing by neglecting this compilation consisting of 10 articles. This is a typical European edition (from The Netherlands, by the way) and the genre can be characterized as "Europeans try to understand Hindu Tantras/Agamas".

The result is boring, needless and much too far from the genuine understanding. And way too much irritating sometimes - for example, Silvia Schwarz Linder in "The 108 Names of The Goddess Tripura" makes references to some superfluous and worthless Jungian psychoanalysis concepts, which has nothing to do with the true Shree Vidya Tradition.

Anyway, 5 links above, maybe someone will search for this edition, because actually the editions of this kind are usually popular among Russians/Westerners, who don't know Hindi/Sanskrit, but try to get the notion of Tantras.

I have read this edition in about 10 minutes in extreme speed-read mode and recommend my blog visitors to do the same - this book actually is not worth even 10 minutes of wasted time!
