"Shree Agastya-Samhita" belongs to Shree PanchaRatra Granthas, but actually it differs from "Shree PanchaRatra" very much being not so complex and intellectual such as classic and
orthodox PanchaRatra Granthas ("Shree Lakshmi-Tantra", "Shree Parama-Samhita", "Shree Satvata-Samhita" and others).

Some parts of "Shree Agastya-Samhita" resemble Puranik Siddhanta: for example, "Shree Tulasi-Mahatmya" and story about Varanasi as Moksha-Kshetra will remind you the corresponding Chapters from "Shree Padma-Purana".
In my opinion, the highlights of "Shree Agastya-Samhita" are very beautiful "Shree Tulasi-Mahatmya" and "Varanasi-as-Moksha-Kshetra-story" - very lofty Siddhanta indeed!

The following is a simple "roadmap" for "Shree Agastya-Samhita", I have compiled it while reading:
Patala 01 - "Shree Agastya-Samhita" is a dialogue between Shiva and Parvati. In the 1st Patala Shiva tells about sufferings of baddha-jiva in samsara.
Patala 02 - Shiva tells about the nature of Maya.
Patala 03 - Shiva reveals why Bhagavan Shree Narayana takes Avataras (such Rama, Krishna and etc.) This Patala also includes Tapasya-Mahatmya.
Patala 04 - The prayers of Brahma. The secret Mantra of Bhagavan Shree Rama (RamaChandra).
Patala 05 - Shiva tells about Shakti-Siddhanta and MulaPrakriti-Siddhanta. Shiva also tells about Puja-Vidhi according to varnashrama status.

Patala 07 - Rama-Mantra and Varanasi as Moksha-Kshetra. This is a classic Varanasi-Siddhanta, for example, this Patala has the very classic Praman stating that "every living being, even worm gets Mukti in case it dies in Varanasi".
It is because Bhagavan Shree Rama promised to Shiva personally, that everyone dying in Varanasi would obtain Mukti, the promise of Bhagavan Shree Rama sounds like this:
