Читаю сегодня с утра книгу B.N.K. Sharma "Madhva's Teachings in His Own Words" (на этой неделе добавлю скан в библиотеки, а пока - предварительные ссылки на box, dropbox, teknik).
Глава "Madhva's Personality" в книге получилась яркой и иллюстративной - выше как раз скриншот из данной Главы (скрин также на plurk, teknik).
И отрывок со стр. 10 про Авидья-нидру тоже прекрасно звучит - цитирую:
"Madhva recognizes that the soul of man is potentially divine: अप्रमेयेश्वरसरूपत्वात् । - aprameyeśvarasarūpatvāt । (G. B. ii, 18.); but man, in the ignorance of his true status, has so much lost his soul to his body and its cravings that he requires to be roused from his Avidya-nidra, by God Himself or His great Messengers, from time to time. It is only in this sense that great teachers of the world, who claim to be divinely inspired to lead their fellowmen from darkness to light, in times of great spiritual stress and moral crises of the world with a new vision of their own, have to be accepted as Messengers of God".
