А флакон с нишиддха-бхакти оставь врагу!

Тамас - это яд, способный фатально отравить чистое Бхакти. Ниже - мой пересказ отрывка из статьи "Types of Devotion and Visistadvaita" by Dr. K.C. Aravinda Rajagopal из журнала "Saptagiri" за август 1981 года.

В классификации Бопадевы [Bopadeva] Бхакти делится на 2 типа: 1) विहित - vihita - основанное на предписаниях Шастр, буквально "одобряемое Богом" и 2) निषिद्ध - niṣiddha - запрещённое. 

ВАЖНО: В Вишишта-Адвайте Шри Рамануджа-Сампрадаи следуют только Вихита-Бхакти. 

Что касается нишиддха-бхакти, то это горький удел тантриков, следующих панча-макаре (5М). Матсья и мамса из тантрической панча-макары нарушают принцип ахимсы (ненасилия). Мада и мадья из панча-макары нарушают принцип ямы (самоконтроля). Майтхуна (секс) из панча-макары нарушает принцип брахмачарьи. Таким образом, эти 5М лишь вредят истинному Бхакти, их ни в коем случае нельзя практиковать. 

5М - это не единственная отрава. Бопадева также рассказывает о 4 дефектах, по которым можно опознать нишиддха-бхакти:

I. Кама - стремление использовать Бога/религию лишь в личных целях и для своего удовольствия. Этот дефект может маскироваться под религиозные россказни о желании "слияния с Богом" и прочую маявадскую муть.

II. Двеша - ненависть, направленная на Бога. Чувство враждебности по отношению к Богу, а также недоверие Богу с ощущением враждебности, якобы исходящей от Бога.

III. Бхайя - различные виды страха и нерешимости. В Гите, стихе 18.35, Господь Шри Кришна рассказывает о том, что страх и нерешимость - это признаки тамаса: "भयं शोकं विषादं मदमेव च न विमुञ्चति दुर्मेधा धृतिः सा पार्थ तामसी - bhayaṃ śokaṃ viṣādaṃ madameva ca na vimuñcati durmedhā dhṛtiḥ sā pārtha tāmasī".

IV. Асуйя - зависть по отношению к Богу и Его бхактам. Господь Шри Кришна подчёркивает эту идею, когда произносит в Гите №18.71 слова "श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च शृणुयादपि यो नरः - śraddhāvānanasūyaśca śṛṇuyādapi yo naraḥ", означающие, что благо от изучения "Шри Бхагавад-Гиты" получают лишь независтливые бхакты.

В обсуждаемой статье также интересен параграф о Шуддха-Бхакти и Мишра-Бхакти. Я его не стала переводить, так он лаконичен и перечисляет различные комбинации. Дополнительные объяснения нужно смотреть в оригинале у Бопадевы - Dr. K.C. Aravinda Rajagopal на них не останавливается подробно. Цитирую: 

"Under vihita he [Bopadeva] mentions two sub-types namely shuddha and mishra. The mishra is subdivided into jnana mishra, karma jnana mishra and karma mishra. Further classification is made of these as uttama, madhyama and adhama on the basis of triple gunas of sattva, rajas and tamas. 

Sattva karma mishra is of three kinds: karma kshayartha, vishnu priyartha and vidhisiddhyartha; the rajasa karma mishra is of three kinds visayartha, yasortha and aisvaryartha; the tamasa karma mishra cannot be called bhakti at all".

ПОМНИТЕ? na vāsudevātparamasti...muktida eva viṣṇuḥ

Ниже - 3 фундаментальных прамана из "Шри Вишну-Дхармы". У этих праманов - нешаблонный контекст, так как они принадлежат к группе стихов, казалось бы, рассчитанных на суровых гьяни и йогов: сначала идёт суровый текст, а потом вдруг следует сбивка на 3 прамана, посвящённых не только важности повторения Имени/Мантры Господа Шри Васудевы, но также важности Шри Вишну-Арадханы.

Cмысл праманов: "Нет Господа выше Господа Шри Васудевы. Нет Дхармы выше Дхармы повторения Имени 'Васудева'. Единственная истинная духовная реальность - это лишь Господь Шри Васудева (Шри Вишну), всё остальное - мрак, иллюзия и сансара, а потому всегда концентрируй свой ум лишь на Господе Шри Васудеве и занимайся Шри Васудева-Арадханой. 

Желающие пересечь океан сансары должны искать прибежище только у Господа Шри Хари (Господа Шри Вишну). Для желающих богатств лишь Господь Шри Вишну является истинным богатством. Желающие правильно следовать Дхарме должны понимать, что лишь поклонение Господу Шри Вишну является единственной истинной Дхармой. Бхагаван Шри Вишну дарует Мукти тем, кто следует изложенным выше истинам".

"VISHNU-DHARMA" 

[excerpt from "Saptagiri" magazine, APR'81 issue, translation by D. SatyaNarayana] 

न वासुदेवात्परमस्ति किञ्चित् न वासुदेवात् गदितं परञ्च । 

सत्यं परं वासुदेवोऽमितात्मा नमो नमो वासुदेवाय नित्यम् ॥

na vāsudevātparamasti kiñcit na vāsudevāt gaditaṃ parañca । 

satyaṃ paraṃ vāsudevo'mitātmā namo namo vāsudevāya nityam ॥

Translation: "Perpetual salutations to Vasudeva. There is nothing beyond Vasudeva. There is nothing that could be uttered beyond the name of Vasudeva. There is no higher truth than the illimitable Vasudeva".

तस्मात्तमाराधय चिन्तय तम् अभ्यर्चं यस्वं नमतान्द्रितात्मा ।

संसारपारं परमिप्समानैराराधनीयः हरिरेक एव ॥

tasmāttamārādhaya cintaya tam abhyarcaṃ yasvaṃ namatāndritātmā ।

saṃsārapāraṃ paramipsamānairārādhanīyaḥ harireka eva ॥

Translation: "Therefore worship Him, concentrate and direct your thoughts on Him and adorn and honour Him with respect and sagacity. This should be done by those who want to cross this world and reach the further bank. To them Hari alone is to be worshipped".

आराधितोऽर्थः धन कामुकानां धर्मार्थिनां धर्मविशेषधर्मी । 

ददाति कामांश्च मनोविशिष्टान् मोक्षायिनां मुक्तिद एव विष्णुः ॥

ārādhito'rthaḥ dhana kāmukānāṃ dharmārthināṃ dharmaviśeṣadharmī । 

dadāti kāmāṃśca manoviśiṣṭān mokṣāyināṃ muktida eva viṣṇuḥ ॥

Translation: "Vishnu verily is wealth and prosperity to those who covet affluence, and the religion among those who aspire for the religious truths, shall be invested with a halo of one who is the basic spiritual foundation to all the religions, shall bestow all the yearnings of the heart and shall grant emancipation to those who desire liberation".

Шри Гуруваюр-Кришна: 3 версии

Три следующих версии легенды о Шри Гуруваюр-Кришне изложены в статье "Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple" by Sri Shanmishtai из журнала "Saptagiri" за апрель 1981 года. 

Мне очень понравилось простое объяснение из версии №1 о том, что Шри Гуруваюр-Кришна - это по сути Мурти Бхагавана Шри Вишну, которому поклонялся Шри Васудева (отец Господа Шри Кришны). 

А версия №3 основана на том факте, что Мурти Шри Гуруваюр-Кришны сделано из "патала-анджанам" - редкого камня с исцеляющими силами, цитирую статью: "The Deity is made of Patala Anjanam. This rare stone is supposed to have great medicinal qualities. The oil and sandal paste (Kalabham) with which the Deity is anointed are taken as medicine". И далее - все 3 версии. 

VERSION-01. 

Mythology has it that Lord Sri Krishna on the eve of His departure Heavenward, after fulfilling His Divine Mission on earth, foresaw the ultimate destruction, en-masse, of His clan and of His City, Dwaraka. 

The Lord called His dear disciple, Uddhava and directed him that he should, therefore take charge of the sacred Idol of Vishnu, then worshipped by his father, Vasudeva, and entrust this to Sage Brihaspathi, so that the Idol may be installed elsewhere at a sacred place and the worship of the Yadava family be continued uninterrupted. Uddhava, in implicit obedience to Lord's wishes took possession of the Idol and later, handing it over to sage Brihaspati informed him of the wish of Lord Krishna. 

By then the deluge had set in, and the town, Dwaraka, with all its inhabitants was washed away by the waters of 'Pralaya'. At this crisis, when Sage Brihaspati was desperately clutching the Idol and was looking for a sacred place God Vayu came to his rescue and both Brihaspati (the Guru of the Devas) and Vayu, managed to reach a place on the west-coast, which at once struck them as the ideal place for consecrating the Idol.

So, with all ceremonial worship, the sacred Idol of Lord Vishnu at this spot was re-installed in all its effulgence and glory and thus the tradition of the Yadava family of Vasudeva was carried on without break: and the Holy abode where this Idol came to be installed and consecrated was from then on known as Guruvayupuram, for the reason that Guru and Vayu were both instrumental in creating this Holy Abode. Puranas hold that God in His form as Siva appeared and blessed their noble efforts and devotion to Lord Vishnu.

VERSION-02. 

Another version improves on this legend and goes to say that Guru and Vayu were beckoned by Lord Siva who was bathing, with his consort, in a tank full of lotuses and instructed them to install the Idol there; and he himself moved on to a place nearby now known as Ambikapuram or Mammiyur. 

VERSION-03. 

Another legend says that King Janamejaya wanted to take revenge over serpents as his father king Parikshit died of a serpent bite. King Janamejaya performed Sarpa Yajna and killed numerous serpents. 

On account of sin Janamejaya became a leper. No treatment could cure him. Ultimately he was advised to worship the image in the ocean which was somehow recovered and with the assistance of Guru and Vayu it was installed at this place. Thereafter King Janamejaya performed a long penance standing before this Deity. Legend says that King Janamejaya was cured of leprosy.
