English annotation by Vishnudut1926: "Shree Vachana-Bhushanam" by OM VishnuPad Shree Pillai LokAcharya is the main Grantha of Tenkalai (The Southern Branch of Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya).

I was very much amazed noticing that the translation had been made not by a representative of Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya, but by a western indologist (Dr. Robert C. Lester from Colorado).

Usually I shun and avoid the translations of western indologists, because Sampradayik translations must be made by native Hindu representatives of Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya.
In spite of western origin this translation is perfect and it was made with the assistance of Sri Agnihotram Ramanuja Tatacharya and prof. A. Tiruvengadathan (Dr. Robert C. Lester communicated with both of them in Madras as the foreword to the translation says).
I recommend to study this translation with the classic English translation by Sri SatyaMurthi Swami of Gwalior, the scan be found here - http://vishnudut1926.blogspot.ru/2016/02/srivachana-bhusahanam-by-sri-pillai.html

Some perfect Hindi editions of "Shree Vachana-Bhushanam" exist too, I will add them to my E-Library later.

"Shree Lakshmi-Stotram" composed by AnandaTirtha (Shree MadhvAcharya)...

IF YOU LOVE RARE STOTRAS DEVOTED TO SHREEMATI MAHALAKSHMI-DEVI, THEN "SHREE LAKSHMI-STOTRAM" WRITTEN BY MADHVACHARYA (ANANDATIRTHA) WILL BE ONE OF THE MOST CHERISHED DISCOVERIES!
THE FOLLOWING EXPLANATION AND TRANSLATION IS FROM #"DVADASA STOTRAM (TWELVE HYMNS) OF SRI MADHVACHARYA" BY KOWLAGI SESHACHAR#:

"As regards the relative position of this Canto in the Dvadasastotra there seems to be some difference of opinion. The late C. M. Padmanabhacharya in his edition of the Dvadasastotra records that this Canto appears as the 12th Canto in the manuscript written by H. H. Hrishikeshatirtha, one of the direct disciples of Sri Madhva and the first pontiff of the Palimar Matha, Udupi.

But the extant editions of the Dvadasastotra including

Happy New Year!

Happy New 2018 Year to all the Vaishnavas (and Shaktas, of course, because Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya is Shree MahaLakshmi-Sampradaya, that is Shakta-Sampradaya first of all!).

I wish all the best and "joy everywhere" to all the prapannas from Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya in the forthcoming year!
As Shreemati Andal-Devi says in "Tiruppavai", 30: "The Grace of The Mighty Four-Armed Precious Lord of Lotus Eyes and Auspiciuos Face and joy everywhere!".

New simplified and minimal E-Library on Cryptpad (and my musings over the idea of digital backup as well)...

I am glad to inform my blog visitors, that I have created the light version [mirror] of my entire E-Library on Cryptpad.

The new light version contains all core and crucial Vaishnava Granthas from my standard E-Library, but due to the compressed images, Cryptpad engine and "the unified catalogue with all-in-one" style it is faster and more convenient.

Everybody is invited to visit and the big banner with the link will be attached to the right panel of my blog from nowadays (and forever):

The further text is the explanation of the "mirror E-Library" idea for tech-savvy persons, it will be useful in case you would like to create simplified online catalogue and feel wary about your backups.

I will explain the idea behind this mirror. As you remember

Cryptpad...

The Supreme Guru of ShreeSampradaya (श्रीसम्प्रदाय)...

SPLENDID EXPLANATION OF "ONLY ADI-SHAKTI [SITA OR MAHALAKSHMI] IS OUR ORIGINAL GURU"-CONCEPT FROM #"MAHAVIRI HANUMAN CHALISA DEMYSTIFIED"#:

"In the Ramacaritamanasa, Tulasidasa says:

bama-bhaga sobhati anukula adi-sakti chabi-nidhi jaga-mula [RCM 1.148.2]

Translation: “On the left side of Lord Rama, Mother Sita shines forth. She is ever favourable, the Primordial Power (Adi-Shakti), the treasure of beauty, and the original cause of the world."

The same Mother Sita manifests Herself in the auspicious land of Mithila with the purpose of increasing the fame of King Janaka.

Being resplendent on the left side of Lord Rama, She destroys any opposition in living beings towards the Lord.

The word "SHREE" (श्री) is compounded with the word "GURU" (गुरु) in 2 ways, to give 2 meanings explained as follows.

As an elliptic and dependent determinative compound [29] the word "ShriGuru" is parsed as "shriya anugrhitah guruh iti shriguruh", which means "a Guru who is favoured or blessed by Goddess Shree (Mother Sita)."
[29]In Sanskrit, an elliptic compound is called a madhyama-pada-lopi samasa, while a dependent determinative compound is called a tatpurusa samasa. In this interpretation, the dependent determinative compound is in the instrumental case (trtiya vibhakti).
The purport is that the mind can be cleansed by the dirt from the feet of only such a Guru who has been initiated in the tradition of "SHREE" (श्री), because the vices resulting from avidya (ignorance) do not go away without the Grace of "SHREE" (श्री)

In other words, the Grace of "SHREE" (श्री) is necessary since even though "SHREE" (श्री) is not different from the Lord, Gosvami Tulasidasa acknowledges Her as Bhakti Herself in the Ramacaritamanasa:

lasata mahju-muni-mandali madhya siya raghucanda gyana-sabha janu tanu dhare bhagati saccidananda [RCM 2.239]

Translation: "Amidst the pleasant assembly of sages, Mother Sita and Lord Rama are resplendent, as if they are bhakti (devotion) and sat-cit-ananda (existence, consciousness, and bliss) incarnate in the assembly of personified jnana (knowledge).”

As an appositional determinative compound, the word "ShriGuru" is parsed as "shrih eva guruh iti shriguruh", meaning "Guru who is the Goddess Sri (Mother Lakshmi or Sita) Herself."
In the Hindu Tradition known as ShriSampradaya, the preceptors Ramanuja and Ramananda acknowledge the Goddess "SHREE" (श्री) as The Supreme Guru.
Older preceptors have accepted Mother Sita to be the Guru of Hanuman. It is said of Hanuman:

samasta-nigamacharyam sita-shishyam gurorgurum

Translation: "To Hanuman, who is the preceptor of all Vedas and Vedic knowledge, who is the disciple of Mother Sita, and who is the Guru of even Brhaspati (the Guru of all deities). ”

Therefore, the remembrance of "SHREE" (श्री) - Mother Sita, the preceptor of Hanuman, is extremely useful at the beginning of the Hanuman-Chalisa, which has been composed to propitiate Hanuman".

Redesign and new prefix-based system in my Vaishnava E-Library...

I have totally re-designed and re-structured one of the primary sections of my blog today  - #E-BOOKS 01 (Vaishnava)#

I am going to upload more and more Orthodox Vaishnava Granthas (Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya and Shree Madhva-Sampradaya) in the very near future.

In view of this fact I have created completely new structure for this part of my E-Library, it is based on the prefixes and looks in the following way:

The library structure is based on prefixes:
RAM#1: Alwars, Shree Ramanuja, Divya Prabandhas
RAM#2: Shree Pillai Lokacharya, Shree Vedanta Desika and Eternal Classics of Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya
PAN#3: Pancharatra (Vaishnava Tantras And Agamas)
PHIL#4: Philosophy, Researches [Shree Ramanuja-Sampradaya]
MADHV#1: Shree Madhva-Sampradaya (Dvaita, Tattvavada, Ananda Tirtha)
VAR#1 [VARIOUS]: other sampradayas and etc.

E-BOOKS 01 (Vaishnava)#\(^o^)/

Хочу также обратить внимание на недавно загруженный скан #"THE MYSTICISM OF POYGAI ALVAR" BY R. BALASUBRAMANIAN# - гениальное исследование и перевод!

Krishna and Ramanuja: 7 common traits...

1. Krishna is the younger brother of Balarama (also called Rama) and is therefore Ramanuja [note by Vishnudut1926: because OM VishnuPad Shree RamanujAcharya is the Avatara of AnantaShesha (BalaRama), so Krishna is the younger brother of Shree RamanujAcharya]

2. Krishna is the 8th child of Devaki and Vasudeva. Ramanuja is

DOWNLOAD (ENGLISH):

English annotation by Vishnudut1926: The Grantha from Shree Ramanandi-Vaishnava-Sampradaya.

The distinctive trait of this Grantha is dwelling on "Shree Hanuman-Chalisa" as what I would name as "anti-calamity-upaya" (recited either 49 or 108 days).

If you are well-versed in Vaishnava Tantras and Agamas, you probably know, that all Hanuman-related sadhanas are usually being used against severe bandhas of all kinds (prison, Saturn and etc.)

If not, than you can find details regarding such upayas in any Hanuman-related Tantra and in some Puranas.

"VISHNU AND HIS INCARNATIONS" #by Shakti M.Gupta Somaiya Publications# ~Bombay 1974~

DOWNLOAD (ENGLISH):

English annotation by Vishnudut1926: Very simple book based mainly on Puranik stories. The books of this kind are very useful for the beginners and for those ones who just start to get curious about Hinduism (and Vaishnavism especially).

I have read in 10 minutes in speedread mode. The Chapter about kinds of Vishnu Murtis (pp. 50-55) is very interesting.

ERROR IN THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE AVATARAS.

The classification of the Avataras in the book has an error, calling Krishna "Complete Avatara" ("Purna-Avatara") on page 11, but Krishna is just an "Amsha-Avatara" of Lord Shree Narayana (Vishnu) both according to "Shree Vishnu-Purana" and "Shreemad-Bhagavatam".

5th Amsha of "Shree Vishnu-Purana" (this Amsha is dedicated to Krishna-Avatara) starts from Amsha-Siddhanta. The same in "Shreemad-Bhagavatam" - this Purana is imbued with Pramanas telling about Krishna as just an Amsha-Avatara of Bhagavan Shree Narayana (Vishnu).

As for the 5th Amsha of "Shree Vishnu-Purana", the Praman about Krishna being an Amsha-Avatara is being repeated 2 times in the very beginning in order to give the erring people of Kali-Yuga the right Siddhanta about ONLY Bhagavan Shree Narayana (MahaVishnu) being the Purna-Avatara (Adi-Avatara or the Origin of all existing Vishnu-Avataras and Vishnu-Tattvas):

The same case with the 2nd Chapter of 5th Amsha of "Shree Vishnu-Purana". Famous Praman "Vishnor-Amsho" (Krishna and BalaRama are just Amsha-Avataras of Narayana/Vishnu) is being repeated in the Verse 5.2.4:

The same in "Shreemad-Bhagavatam" (10.1.2). 10th Canto is dedicated to Krishna-Avatara so the Verse 10.1.2 instantly establishes "Krishna is just an Amsha-Avatara of Bhagavan Shree Vishnu"-Siddhanta:

यदोश् च धर्म-शीलस्य नितरां मुनि-सत्तम
तत्रांशेनावतीर्णस्य विष्णोर् वीर्याणि शंस नः

yadosh cha dharma-shIlasya nitarAM muni-sattama
tatrAMshenAvatIrNasya viShNor vIryANi shaMsa naH

Translation (by Vishnudut1926): "Now please describe to me the wonderful deeds of Krishna and Balarama who were just 2 Amsha-Avataras of Bhagavan Shree Vishnu".
Nuff said! Proved (that Krishna is just an Amsha-Avatara of Bhagavan Shree Narayana!)
